The short answer is, “no.” We operate on a contingent fee basis, and use the standard rates as set by the Florida Supreme Court. This means the following:

• We charge a fee only if we win your case. If we do not win, you will owe us nothing.
• If we do achieve a favorable outcome, our fee is by default set to 33 & 1/3% of the total settlement.
• If we are required to file a lawsuit, our fees go to 40%. This is because of the tremendous amount of risk we take on by filing suit. Because we collect only if there is a favorable outcome on the case, we front all litigation costs on behalf of our clients. That means that if the lawsuit fails for whatever reason, we will absorb the cost and you will owe us nothing. It is for this reason that the Florida Supreme Court puts forth a 40% rate for lawsuits.

The practical meaning of everything above is this: you will never owe us any money out of your pocket. At the end of the case we will collect our fees and case costs, but only if we win your case. Otherwise you owe us nothing.
