A double-vehicle crash, involving a motorcycle and an SUV, occurred at 9:44 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2022, on State Road 70, Bradenton. Two people from Bradenton, who were in their 20s were killed in the crash.

According to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the crash took place near Interstate 75. The motorcycle was traveling west on State Road 70 when it hit the rear of the SUV that came in front of it. The driver of the motorcycle, a 25-year-old man, suddenly applied the brakes but ended up hitting the rear of the SUV. He and his passenger, a 22-year-old woman, got thrown off the motorcycle.

The woman died at the scene. The man was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the SUV, a 77-year-old woman, and her passenger, a 79-year-old man, did not suffer any injuries.
