A 20-year-old Sarasota man was killed in a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV that occurred in Sarasota on Saturday, March 4, 2023.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the crash occurred at 1:10 p.m. on Clark Road near Sawyer Road. The young man from Sarasota was driving his motorcycle westbound on Clark Road and nearing an intersection when an SUV turned in front of him, resulting in a collision between the two vehicles.
The 20-year-old motorcyclist was rushed to Sarasota Memorial Hospital but succumbed to his injuries later. The SUV driver, a 67-year-old woman from Sarasota, sustained minor injuries.
The authorities also stated that the deceased rider was wearing a helmet during the accident.
