A single-vehicle crash, involving a pickup truck, occurred Friday evening, August 18, 2023, on County Road 318, Citra, Florida. A 23-year-old man died in the crash.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the crash occurred at 5:46 p.m. when the driver of a pickup truck, a 23-year-old man from Citra, lost control of the vehicle while traveling north on CR 318. The vehicle veered off the road and hit a traffic sign. It then returned to the roadway and hit a utility pole. Once again, it left the roadway and ended up hitting a tree.
The driver died due to the injuries sustained in the crash.
