A single-vehicle crash, involving a pickup truck, occurred on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at 10 p.m. on County Road 241, north of SW 175th Avenue, in Alachua County, Florida. The pickup truck driver, a 26-year-old Williston man, died in the accident.
As per the Highway Patrol, the pickup truck was traveling toward the south on C.R. 241 when it skewed to the left and crossed the northbound lane. The truck then collided with a tree on the east shoulder.
According to the troopers, soon after the accident, the driver of the pickup truck was taken to UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida, where he was pronounced dead at around 2:10 a.m. on Sunday, March 21, 2021. Troopers also confirmed that the crash investigations are underway.
