Three people died and two others were seriously injured in a horrific New Year’s morning crash that occurred on I-95 in Miami-Dade, Florida. The crash, involving a Nissan Altima and a Dodge Challenger, happened around 4:40 a.m. on Sunday morning.
According to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) officials, Nissan Altima was heading north on I-95 in the area of Northwest 95th Street. The driver of the car suddenly lost control and collided with a Dodge Challenger. The Nissan then went off the roadway, crashed into a tree, and turned into a ball of fire.
Two people, who were first to arrive at the scene, found two critically-injured women lying outside the vehicle. There were three other people in the Nissan who died inside the car. The injured women were transported to Ryder Trauma Center. The northbound lanes of I-95 remained shut for almost five hours after the accident. The crash is being further investigated.
If any nearby person or vehicle were injured/damaged as a result of the driver’s negligence, there would likely be a valid personal injury claim.
