A fatal two-vehicle crash, involving a Chevy Equinox and a Honda Civic, occurred at around 7:30 a.m. Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Town Center and Mallard Cove boulevards in Hunters Creek, Florida.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), at the time of the incident, the Chevy vehicle was traveling toward the south on Mallard Cove Boulevard when it got into the path of the Honda automobile while trying to turn onto Town Center Boulevard. The Honda car was beyond the speed limit and hit the Chevy Equinox on the left side.
The accident report revealed that Chevy vehicle was driven by a 37-year-old man with a 56-year-old passenger, and the Honda car was driven by an 18-year-old man. All three were from Orlando.
Initially, officials said that two of the three died at the hospital, but they later confirmed that all three had succumbed to their injuries. As troopers responded to the accident, traffic remained shut down at Town Center Boulevard in both directions for several hours after the crash.
If any nearby person or vehicle were injured/damaged as a result of the driver’s negligence, there would likely be a valid personal injury claim.
