A multi-vehicle crash, involving a motorcycle and two cars, occurred at around 8:20 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2022 in Manatee County, Florida. A 38-year-old man from Bradenton died in the accident. According to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the crash happened at the intersection of Upper Manatee River Road and Third Avenue Northeast. The 38-year-old man was travelling on Third Avenue when he failed to stop his motorcycle at a stop sign. He ended up entering the intersection after losing control of his vehicle.
An SUV travelling north on Upper Manatee River Road hit the motorcycle. Due to the impact of the collision, the motorcyclist fell on the road and was then hit by a sedan traveling northbound. The motorcyclist could not survive the crash and died at the scene.
The 60-year-old driver of the sedan and the two occupants of the SUV, a 38-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy, were not injured.
