A two-vehicle crash, involving two Honda cars, occurred Thursday afternoon on June 24, 2021. Four persons injured in the accident, including a mother and four children, all in the same car.
According to the Orange County Fire Rescue (OCFR), the incident was reported at around 4 p.m. on the 13800 block of Landstar Boulevard, near Amber Lake Boulevard. Initial investigations by Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) revealed that at the time of the crash, the female driver of the 1st Honda car, who was carrying the kids, turned left in front of traffic and collided with the 2nd Honda vehicle.
Fire crews found 2 adults and 3 kids in need of assistance at the accident scene. OCFR spokesperson, Lisa McDonald said that an adult and a kid required advanced life support and were transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center and Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. The rest two kids were transported to Orlando Health Arnold Palmer as trauma alerts.
Florida Highway Patrol spokesperson, Lt. Kim Montes said that none of the kids were in a car seat when the accident happened. He later confirmed that none of the injuries were life-threatening and all the injured individuals were stable as of 6 p.m. on the day of the car crash. The accident led to the closure of the right lane of Landstar Boulevard for a few hours after the crash.
