A fatal accident, involving a bicycle and a car, occurred on State Road 559, north of Sunset Lane near Auburndale in Polk County, Florida on Sunday morning, June 26, 2022. A 31-year-old male bicyclist from Orlando died in the crash.
According to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), at the time of the accident, the car, moving southbound, driven by a 26-year-old man from Auburndale, hit the bicyclist, who was also moving southbound.
The crash report revealed that the bicyclist sustained fatal injuries at the scene. The car driver did not suffer injuries in the accident and has charges pending against him.
If any nearby person or vehicle were injured/damaged as a result of the driver’s negligence, there would likely be a valid personal injury claim.
