A 71-year-old woman from Alabama lost her life in a two-vehicle crash, involving a pickup truck and an SUV, that occurred at the intersection of Nine Mile Road and Beulah Road on Friday night, April 28, 2023.

According to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the collision happened at around 8 p.m. when there was a collision between the pickup truck driven by a 36-year-old Cantonment man and an SUV driven by the deceased woman, who was heading westbound. The truck was traveling eastbound on Nine Mile Road when the driver turned left, crossing into the path of the SUV.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene while her 55-year-old male passenger sustained serious injuries.

The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries while an 8-year-old passenger in the truck was ejected and seriously injured as he was not wearing a seat belt. The FHP is investigating the incident.
