A single-vehicle accident, involving a Ford Mustang, occurred on Friday night, March 31, 2023 in Yankeetown, Florida. One person died in the accident.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the Ford Mustang was discovered submerged in the Withlacoochee River near the Yankeetown Boat Ramp. The driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was removed by the Levy County Fire Rescue and was then transported to Bravera Health Seven Rivers, where he was pronounced dead.

The identity of the driver has not yet been released. It is unclear what caused the Mustang to drive off the road and into the river. The Florida Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
