During the weekend, a 47-year-old motorcyclist from Punta Gorda was traveling south on CR-765 Burnt Store Road, nearing Shot Gun Road, when the incident occurred. The motorcyclist veered off the road, entered the median, and collided with a culvert, subsequently overturning the vehicle.

Tragically, the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the crash.
