A two-vehicle crash, involving a patrol car and a personal automobile, happened on Highway 90 in Baker County, Florida at around 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. Five people, including a 2-year-old child, injured in the accident.
Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said that a 45-year-old Baker County Sheriff’s officer was responding to an emergency call when the crash occurred. When the crash occurred, the patrol car was moving westbound on U.S. 90, approaching Lowder Street, and the other automobile was moving northbound on Lowder Street, approaching U.S. 90.
The personal car was driven by a 16-year-old driver and the car had two passengers, a 38-year-old woman and a 2-year-old boy. The driver and the child passenger of the car sustained minor injuries, while the adult passenger of the vehicle suffered serious injuries.
The officer, who was driving the patrol car, and a 22-year-old woman in the same vehicle, sustained minor injuries. The crash is under investigation.
