A three-vehicle accident, involving an SUV and two sedans, occurred on the two-lane State Road 29, around two-and-a-half miles south of Interstate 75, in Collier County, Florida at around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2022. A child died and four other people sustained critical injuries in the crash.
According to the crash report, at the time of the accident, the SUV was traveling southbound on State Road 29 when its driver, a 29-year-old woman from Largo, changed lanes. The two sedans, one ahead of the other, were moving northbound on the same road.
The first sedan veered to the right, onto the grass shoulder to avoid the SUV. The left rear side of the SUV collided with the first sedan and then hit the front of the second sedan.
A child passenger in the third sedan died at the accident scene. The second sedan’s driver, a 37-year-old woman from Plantation, and two passengers – an adult male and a child – sustained severe injuries. The SUV driver also sustained critical injuries. The first sedan’s driver, a 59-year-old man from Meshoppen, Pennsylvania, did not sustain any injuries.
If any nearby person or vehicle were injured/damaged as a result of the driver’s negligence, there would likely be a valid personal injury claim.
