A fatal single-vehicle crash, involving a sedan, occurred late Saturday night on June 18, 2022 in Manatee County, Florida. A 29-year-old female passenger died, and the sedan’s driver and a 6-year-old passenger sustained critical injuries in the crash.
According to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), at the time of the crash, the sedan was moving southbound on 15th St East and swerved over to the west shoulder when it collided with a tree and caught fire. After the collision, the sedan spun around and came to a stop on 15th Street East, adjacent to a cemetery.
The female passenger was declared dead at the accident scene. The driver of the sedan was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. A six-year-old male passenger was also transported to Tampa General Hospital in critical condition.
The crash is under investigation by FHP.
