A single-vehicle accident, involving a sedan, occurred on I-275 near Milepost 21 in Florida at around 3:40 a.m. Sunday on January 23, 2022. A 32-year-old man from St. Petersburg died in the crash.
A Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) report revealed that at the time of the crash, the man was traveling southbound on I-275 near Milepost 21 at a high speed when he lost control of his vehicle, which caused the vehicle to leave the road and enter the outside shoulder. It then collided with the guardrail and continued through a ditch. The vehicle came to a stop after hitting a tree.
The man succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Troopers said that he was not wearing a seat belt.
