A three-vehicle accident occurred around 5:50 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 in west Orange County, Florida. A 48-year-old man from Orlando died and a 30-year-old man from Orlando was critically injured in the crash.
The incident occurred in the area of Old Winter Garden Road and Klondike Street. Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said that the critically injured man, driving a 2006 Dodge Charger, was making an exit from a driveway to go north on Old Winter Garden Road. The deceased man was driving a 2015 Nissan Rogue in the southbound lanes of Old Winter Garden Road. The third person involved in the crash was a 56-year-old man, who was driving a 2007 Lexus RX350 to the right of the Nissan vehicle on the same road.
Investigators revealed that at the time of the incident, the Dodge driver lost control and veered into the southbound lanes of Old Winter Garden Road and collided with the front of Nissan as well as Lexus car.
The Nissan driver was declared dead at the accident scene and the Dodge driver was transported to a local hospital in a critical condition. The Lexus driver was also taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. Reports suggested that the Dodge driver was not wearing a seatbelt. The crash is under investigation.
If any nearby person or vehicle were injured/damaged as a result of the driver’s negligence, there would likely be a valid personal injury claim.
