On the night of February 19, 2024, a tragic accident occurred in Bradenton, Florida, leaving an unidentified man critically injured. The incident unfolded as a 62-year-old woman from Bradenton was driving her car northwest on 301 Boulevard East, nearing the intersection of 5th Street East, under the cover of darkness.
Simultaneously, the man was walking along the north paved shoulder of 301 Boulevard East, heading towards the same intersection. At approximately 9:40:00 PM, the man attempted to cross 301 Boulevard East, stepping onto the roadway directly into the path of the oncoming sedan.
Despite the driver’s efforts to avoid a collision, the front of her car collided with the pedestrian. The impact was severe, leading to critical injuries for the man. Manatee County EMS responded swiftly to the scene and transported the injured pedestrian to a local hospital for urgent medical care.
