A hit-and-run crash occurred at around 2:30 p.m. in Plantation, Broward County, Florida on Sunday, December 13, 2020 that led to the death of a 36-year-old pedestrian. Police took pictures of the scene in the early morning darkness and started searching for clues as the day began to dawn. A shoe belonging to the pedestrian was seen lying on the ground.

Investigators spray-painted sections of the street and looked around for signs of vehicle parts and other types of evidence that could lead them to the driver. After sunrise, the medical examiner’s office arrived to assess and remove the body from the scene. A section of State Road 7 near Northwest 5 Street was closed off for a few hours after the accident.
