A two-vehicle crash, involving an SUV and a dump truck, occurred on Tuesday afternoon, December 12, 2023, in Lake County, Florida. Three people died in the crash.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the accident occurred at the intersection of Country Road 33 and Bridges Road around 2 p.m. The troopers said that an SUV was stopped at the intersection before it entered the road and collided with an approaching dump truck.
Due to the impact of the crash, both vehicles veered off the road and crashed into trees. The collision claimed the lives of three individuals who were in the SUV: a 47-year-old driver hailing from Grand Island, a 35-year-old female from Longwood, and a 32-year-old female from Orlando. All three worked at the Central District Office.
The dump truck driver sustained minor injuries.
