A two-vehicle crash on Saturday morning, July 1, 2023, along the Florida-Georgia state line claimed the lives of three Bay Shore kids.
The 10-year-old girl, the 12-year-old boy, and the 14-year-old boy all passed away as a result of the accident, which happened at 7:40 in the morning on southbound Interstate 95.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, an SUV rear-ended a sedan from Bay Shore carrying four children and two adults when it slowed or stopped in the center lane of the bridge between Florida and Georgia. The sedan’s 24-year-old driver was seriously hurt, and the two survivors, a 14-year-old kid and a 47-year-old lady, were both in critical condition, according to authorities.
The 23-year-old male from Apex, North Carolina, who was driving the SUV, suffered minor injuries.
