A fatal single-vehicle crash occurred at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, on I-95, just south of Belvedere Road, in West Palm Beach, Florida. A 19-year-old teenage girl died in the accident.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the teenager was traveling in the inside center lane of I-95 when she lost control over her vehicle and crashed her vehicle into the concrete barrier wall. The impact of the collision caused the vehicle to travel across the southbound lanes, where it overturned several times. The victim was ejected through the front windshield of the vehicle.
She was then taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries and was declared dead on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. FHP said that the victim was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
The accident closed all southbound lanes of I-95 in West Palm Beach for several hours on the day of the incident. The accident is pending investigation.
If any nearby person or vehicle were injured/damaged as a result of the driver’s negligence, there would likely be a valid personal injury claim.
