A devastating accident involving five vehicles on I-95 northbound near mile marker 153 has resulted in the deaths of four individuals, including a 7-year-old boy. The incident occurred at 2:15 a.m. on Monday morning, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

The collision involved a total of eleven people and began when a 37-year-old woman from Miami, driving a Toyota Camry, rear-ended a Suzuki Vitara operated by a 40-year-old man, also from Miami. This initial impact left both vehicles disabled on the highway.

Subsequently, a Dodge Journey driven by a 40-year-old woman from Palm Bay, with a 7-year-old boy, a 2-month-old boy, a 9-year-old girl, a 5-year-old girl, and a 42-year-old man as passengers, collided with the disabled Suzuki, escalating the situation.

As the drivers of the Camry and Suzuki were assisting the occupants of the Dodge Journey, a Freightliner semi-truck approached and struck the scene, fatally injuring the drivers of both the Camry and Suzuki who were outside their vehicles.

The chain reaction continued when a Chrysler Pacifica, driven by a 27-year-old man with a 25-year-old female passenger from Canada, attempted to avoid the disabled vehicles but ended up colliding with the Toyota Camry.

The aftermath of the crash left vehicles scattered across the roadway and shoulders, creating a chaotic and tragic scene.

Authorities are investigating the incident to determine the exact causes and circumstances leading up to the crash. Our thoughts are with the families affected by this heartbreaking event.
