The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) has reported a tragic single-car accident that occurred on the morning of June 8, 2024, resulting in one fatality and leaving two individuals in critical condition.
The crash involved a sedan traveling southbound on 15th Street East, near 53rd Avenue East. The vehicle, driven by an unidentified man, veered off the roadway and onto the shoulder at approximately 11:50 PM. It subsequently collided with a tree, causing the car to rotate and come to a halt on 15th Street East, where it then caught fire.
Inside the vehicle were two passengers: a 29-year-old woman and a 2-year-old boy, both from Bradenton. Tragically, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The young boy was urgently transported to Tampa General Hospital, where he remains in critical condition. The driver was also taken to a nearby hospital for critical injuries.
FHP has announced that the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
If any nearby person or vehicle were injured/damaged as a result of the driver’s negligence, there would likely be a valid personal injury claim.
