A two-vehicle crash, involving a Honda Fit car and a Ford Fusion car, happened around 9 p.m., Saturday on October 9, 2021 along U.S. 301 in Hillsborough County, Florida.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), at the time of the crash, a 64-year-old woman from Sun City Center was driving the Honda car along a driveway that was leading up to the 18000 block of U.S. 301, when she failed to yield just before entering the intersection. At the same time, the Ford vehicle, was traveling towards the south on U.S. 301 when it hit the driver’s side of the Honda car as it entered the intersection.
Before coming to a final stop along the west grass shoulder of the road, both cars rotated. A 33-year-old man from Temple Terrace was driving the Ford vehicle and a 26-year-old woman from Wimauma was his passenger.
The accident report revealed that all three involved in the accident were taken to a hospital, where the Honda driver succumbed to her injuries. The Ford car’s driver and passenger suffered serious injuries and remained in the hospital. The names of the people involved in the accident were not released by the FHP.
If any nearby person or vehicle were injured/damaged as a result of the driver’s negligence, there would likely be a valid personal injury claim.
