A fatal two-vehicle accident, involving a car and an SUV, occurred on I-4 in Osceola County, Florida late Monday, December 6, 2021. The crash was reported at around 10:50 p.m. on I-4 near mile marker 62, near the attractions.
According to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), at the time of the crash, both vehicles were traveling westbound on the highway when the car, moving in the center, swerved into the right lane for unknown reasons and hit the left rear side of the SUV.
The FHP crash report revealed that the impact caused the SUV to turn, ejecting both female passengers. One of the women was declared dead at the crash scene and the other woman was taken to Celebration Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. Neither of them was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Both were identified as a 59-year-old woman from Wimauma and a 54-year-old woman from Riverview.
Two other male occupants and the driver, a 28-year-old man from Davenport, of the SUV, suffered minor injuries. The crash is under investigation.
If any nearby person or vehicle were injured/damaged as a result of the driver’s negligence, there would likely be a valid personal injury claim.
